My journey through the "hard stuff" in therapy. Most of this was written in 1984-1986. New in substance abuse recovery, new to therapy and in massive pain. I look back a these writings and realize how far I have come. I didn't even know how to wish for the life I have now.

Where were you when I needed you?
What you didn't know
You might have guessed
But you chose to overlook
Because to see was painful
I bore your pain
Plus all of mine
While you ignored me
Where in the hell were you?
